Iolaire — the Eagle Cabin

Take a 3D virtual tour → Iolaire and its identical twin Cailleach-oidhche are the same inside, so this walk-through shows Iolaire’s layout too.

Iolaire — Gaelic for ‘eagle’ — is a luxury roundhouse lodge for two, set high among the trees with forest, beach and sea views from every room. It shares its circular wheelhouse design, inspired by the island’s Iron Age past, with its twin Cailleach-oidhche, and has a free-standing bath at a picture window, a wood-burning stove, and a private balcony over the treetops.

Iolaire translates as ‘eagle’. Our resident white-tailed eagles — also known as sea eagles — are often seen overhead in the forest, and golden eagles range across the wider island. Please note Iolaire is reached by a number of steps.
