Cailleach-oidhche — the Owl Cabin

Take a 3D virtual tour → Step inside Cailleach-oidhche and wander around at your own pace.

Cailleach-oidhche — Gaelic for ‘owl’ (literally ‘night lady’) — is a luxury roundhouse lodge for two, raised among the trees with forest, beach and sea views from every room. A free-standing bath sits at a picture window, with a wood-burning stove and a private balcony over Claddach Vallay. It’s our most accessible cabin, reached by a low ramp to the front door.

We’re lucky to have long-eared owls in the woodland — on a still night you may hear the chicks’ ‘squeaky-door’ call — and short-eared owls hunting over the moor by day. Cailleach-oidhche shares its circular wheelhouse design with its identical twin, Iolaire.
